Installing Router on a Windows Mobile 6 device
Windows Mobile 6 (WM6) uses a different pairing method from other bluetooth devices which causes a problem when trying to pair with a digital pen. The solution is to use the Router for Windows Mobile as it uses an un-documented feature in WM6 to allow us to pair the pen directly with the phone.
- Download and install the latest version of PenPusher for WM6 (attached), you also need Microsofts .Net framework as a prerequisit.
- Ensure that Bluetooth is switched on and your device is 'discoverable'.
- Remove the lid from the pen and from the Tools menu in PenPusher, select the 'Pair to Pen' option.
- Assuming you've done this quickly enough, you will be asked to enter the pens bluetooth key.
- From the phones Control Panel under Connectivity, switch off the 'beaming' option if your device has one.
The Router for Windows Mobile will use the same connectivity options as your other network applications. Simply make sure that you have configured your device to be able to connect to the internet via GPRS/3G or wireless and PenPusher will use it.
