Installing Router on a Windows Mobile 5 device
Windows Mobile 5 (WM5) devices are able to pair with digital pens but due to some problems with the bluetooth stack, the pairing process may appear to fail the first time you get asked for the pen pairing code :-
- Download and install the latest version of the Router for WM5 (attached), Microsofts .Net framework is a prerequisite.
- Ensure that your WM5 device has Bluetooth switched on and is 'discoverable'
- Remove the lid from the pen and either search for the pen using your WM5 'Add Device' ability or tick 'Pair to Phone' on a pairing form (supplied by Ubisys)
- When the device is found, enter your pens BT Passkey (4 digits). At this point your pen will vibrate three times but your WM5 device will error. Simply enter the passkey a second time when asked to complete the pairing.
- From the phones Connectivity options under the Control Panel, switch off the 'beaming' option if your device has one.
The Router for Windows Mobile will use the same connectivity options as your other network applications. Simply make sure that you have configured your device to be able to connect to the internet via GPRS/3G or wireless and the Router will use it.
