From time to time it will be neccessary to replace your pen ink cartridge.  How often obviously depends on how much you write, but changing it could'nt be simpler :-

1. Remove the cap from the pen.
2. Place the ballpoint end of the pen cartridge in the small hole located in the caps clip.
3. Twist the cap slightly so the tip of the ink cartridge is 'grabbed' by the clip.
4. Gently pull the cartridge out using the pen cap as leverage.
